"A big thank you to Rob, Charmaine and the nurses for fixing my knee and stapling me back up. I am on the mend and making a speedy recovery." Licks and love, Jasmine "I just wanted to say thank you for giving shelter to the blind stray cat and looking after him for his last few days. I’m sure not all vets would have taken him in. Once again thank you for your kindness." Mrs C Edwards "Dear Rob and all the team at the vets thank you for everything you did for Sky and me." Juliet, James and Sky "We would highly recommend Alexandra Vets because of the dedication they have shown to our Golden Retriever Jasmine. Jasmine has had cruciate ligament operations and has been through a lot of proceedures this past year and yet she always enters the surgery with enthusiasm and is always delighted to see Rob and the rest of the team. She cannot get through the door fast enough! All the vets and nurses are extremely professional yet have that personal touch that is so important, offering sound advice and reassurance when a decision about a well loved pet has to be made. Thanks to their dedication Jasmine is now making an excellent recovery and can enjoy her walks. We cannot thank Rob and his team enough, their skills and devotion have given Jasmine a new lease of life." Maggi & Dave Reucroft "We would like to say a big thank you to the team at Hillyfields Vets, for the superb care they gave our 13 year old Labrador Rolie, and our 3 year old Boxer Benny. During recent months your care has been invaluable, without your expertise, certainly in Rolies case the outcome could have been very different. We now have two happy healthy dogs again. Thank you." Denise and Derek Purnell I have been a customer at Hillyfields Vets for the past 10 years or more and have had many occasions to visit the practice with several cats we have had over the years. The animals have had various problems from digestive disorders to hyperthyroidism and everything in between. I have always found all the staff to be very professional, friendly, kind and efficient and even the more stubborn of problems have been dealt with with perseverance and patience. We shall continue to use Hillyfields Vets for as long as we have animals. D. Reece "The care you gave to Beastie allowed us to have 3+ lovely years with him. He and we thank you for all you have done" Mr & Mrs Chapman “Thankyou so much for everything you have done for Captain and especially the home support with his diabetes” Miss Tweed “I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all you did to help Socks during her last week. I found you all to be incredibly professional but also very caring and kind. You may think it is just doing your job but from what I saw you all do your jobs fantastically well, and while it didnt make a very sad situation any easier, it does make a difference and mean a lot to know that Socks was with people who genuinely cared about her well being. Thank you” Vicky Page
“This is just to say thank you for the care you have given my dogs. Thanks to you their visits to the vets were a calm, gentle and friendly occasion. This Rob has known nothing else. My old Rob was nervous wreck until you took him over and the treatment from you transformed him. I often think of his indignant bark when you took another dog into your room before him. I shall always remember your reaction to his collapse. Im sure you saved his life then and prolonged his life. Your care of him at the end was a great comfort to me. This Rob flourishes in spite of his illness 18 months ago.” Felicity Saunders Mr & Mrs Reece and Ben

"In June 2007, following increasing disenchantment with a veterinary practice in a neighbouring town at which I had Persian cats registered for well over a decade, I decided to transfer to Alexandra Vets with immediate effect and have not looked back since. Within 10 days of adopting 2 Persian cat from a rescue centre it was discovered that they both had serious long term health issues. I lost one in February 2007 and was told the other one, Coco, didn't have long to go. Under Mr Tim Wilson's care Coco thrived. The quality of his life improved so much that he was seemingly a cat without any problems whatsoever. In my opinion the Alexandra Vets practice excels in every respect. The sheer professionalism which one encounters throughout is certainly unrivalled. The welfare of one's animals is of primary importance to the vets and staff alike. Words can not describe just how I appreciate this practice and the principles on which it is founded. A big THANK YOU to everyone at Alexandra Vets.” Christa-Marie North and her cats Coco, Maisy and Nyx
Tim and Rob appeared on the scene (in 2006) and like Vicky I was dubious of the new vets, added to this another cat had adopted us. The new member of the family we called Snowy. I now had two cats to get used to new vets, after only a couple of visits I soon became very confident in Tim's caring nature when treating my cats. They were always happy after their visit generally feeling better than before. Sadly, Vicky died, very unexpectedly, just before Christmas 2008. Tim and all the nurses did everything they could possibly do to reduce Vicky's suffering. Fortunately, Snowy enjoys better health than Vicky did, needing only a manicure from Tim on a regular basis. I thoroughly recommend Hillyfields Vets to any animal lover for I know they will treat their animals with the utmost kindness and respect." Mrs Bamber, Vicky and Snowy “I would like to say a big thank you to Hillyfields Surgery for the attention and service they give and the pleasant welcome at reception and always knowing there is someone on the end of the phone for advice” Val Smith and cat Lucky
Mrs Clark and Toby the tortoise age 55.
“To Mr Wilson and all the staff. Just to say a big thank you from ourselves and Chloe for looking after her so well and keeping her going; lets hope she makes 21!” On one occasion, our elderly and very nervous Jack Russell was being walked up over Hillyfields whilst the others were being treated. Such was his fear of missing out that he slipped his collar and ran back to the surgery and sat waiting his chance to get through the door. Needless to say, the veterinary care and treatment is of the very highest standard and our only criticism or observation is that we too cannot register for treatment.” Cynthia & Michael Reed and their dogs Scrumpy, Bertie and Polly Rob Kilby saw Shack the same day, the caring response of all the team at Alexandra Vets was superb, showing a degree of care to Shack and the other members of the family that was much appreciated. Various X-rays and tests established the cause of Shack’s illness (a bone tumour) and it became clear that his only hope for survival lay in amputation of his left hind leg along with a course of chemotherapy. Tim Wilson, his team and the family were all of the same mind and were not about to give up on Shack, the photo of him standing just a few hours after (the operation) bears testament to the skill of Tim and the operating team. Months of chemotherapy, x-rays and blood tests followed, the cost of which were born by insurance arranged through Alexandra Vets, all we had to do was sign a form and they did the rest for us. It’s all but 12 months since the operation and Shack is doing fine, so thanks guys” Geoff & Jo Bazley and their Husky Shackleton For my part I get excellent service, advice when I need it and most of all confidence that my dogs are well cared for. Rosalind Garvie and her dogs Benji and Holly Thank you very much for all the care you gave him even though I am sure you must have had some doubts as to whether he would make it on his first visit. He definitely has regained his confidence, as well as three new hens in the run with him. I think the dog would surely come off second best now, or at least have serious doubts about trying anything again. Thanks for all your care. Lez Saker and Albert the cockerel Mrs Jenkins and her cats, Chloe, Basil, Sqibbs and Sinbad
